Carolyn Ruden Jacobson, 94, of Warren, PA, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2019, at Warren Manor in Warren, PA. Carolyn was born on January 10, 1925 in Jamestown, NY, to the late Charles O. and Eva (Charles) Ruden. She had resided in N. Warren, PA since 1959, moving there from Jamestown, NY, where she was a 1943 graduate of Jamestown High School. While in Jamestown she was employed by Marlin-Rockwell Corp. and Lundell Eckberg Corp. in their offices. After moving to Warren, she worked in the office of Warren Midtown Motors, Inc. Carolyn was a member of First Lutheran Church; a former member of the New Comers Club and its 5th Wheel Organization. She was an active member of her high school graduate class committees. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed her family and grandchildren and her knitting and needlework.

Carolyn is survived by her 3 children – Linda Jacobson of N. Warren, PA; D. Melvin (Skip) Jacobson and his wife, Marianne, of N. Warren, PA; and Elaine Crandall of Warren, PA; 6 grandchildren – Robert Jacobson, Matthew Jacobson and his wife, Angela, Kristen Bosko and her husband, Michael, Melissa Feaster and her husband, Kenneth, Carrie Mummert and her husband, Chad, and Joy McMonigal; 8 great-grandchildren – Jacob Mummert; Ryan, Ava and Kyle Jacobson; Isabelle McMonigal; Lucas, Carson and Kyler Bosko; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, D. Melvin “Jake” Jacobson, whom she married on June 15, 1946 at the “old” Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, which was located on 4th Street in Jamestown, NY. Jake passed away on September 25, 2010. Carolyn was also preceded in death by 2 sisters – Lois M. Ruden and Jean Johnson.

Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East St., Warren, PA, on Monday, July 1, 2019, from 12:30p.m. until 2p.m., at which time a funeral service will be held with Rev.
