Blanche L. Irwin, 96, of Sheffield, PA., died Sunday evening, March 6, 2022, at UPMC Kane Hospital, Kane, PA. after a brief illness.
Blanche was born February 4, 1926, in Jamestown, N.Y. She was the daughter of Ella Marie and Dewey Hayes. She had resided most of her life in the
Warren County area. She was a Jamestown High School graduate Class of 1944. Blanche was employed with the Blair Corporation in their mailing department.
She was a member of Barnes United Methodist Church. Blanche enjoyed playing nickel bingo and was very good at winning! She enjoyed playing games. She is
Lovingly remembered as a woman who was a live wire, who loved life to the fullest. She enjoyed driving her car, shopping, making homemade bread.
She is survived by her children – Lucy Rudolph and husband, Jim of Sheffield, PA., Willie Hayes and wife, Darla of Jamestown, N.Y., Tammy Colburn and husband, Rick of Warren, PA.,
118 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, several nieces, and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Irwin, who died December 7, 1989, 1 Daughter – Roberta Handy, 1 Son – William McKendree who died March 7, 2017, 2 Brothers – Robert & Edward Hayes.

Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA., on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, from 5 to 7 P.M., where a funeral and committal service will be conducted Thursday, March 10, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Douglas Brink, Pastor, and Rev. Terry Tuluch, former Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Warren County Memorial Park. My condolences to the family. Blanche was a great lady and so proud of her family, especially all those grand-babies! Always had a smile for everyone, I will miss her greatly as will all of us at the Senior Center.
