Arthur V. Bailey, Sr., 79, of Warren, PA., died Sunday afternoon, September 15, 2019 at his residence after suffering an apparent heart attack. He was born April 2, 1940 in Tiona, PA. Arthur was the son of the late Angus and Twila Mealy Bailey. He was a Warren area resident most of his life, spending some time in Venice and Tallahassee, FL. Art was employed as a supervisor at the former Struthers Wells Corporation for many years and had also worked at the former Warren Grocery, Blair Corporation, Midtown Motors and was a Real Estate Salesman. He was a member of the First Church of God and the Warren Grotto Club.
He was involved with the Warren Little League program where he had served as a coach. He loved his Pittsburgh Pirates and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Art is survived by his wife of 59 years, Diana McCool Bailey whom he married December 12, 1959 in Red House, N.Y., 5 Children – Dwayne A. Bailey of Shamong, N.J., Denise Stromdahl and husband, John, Darby Bailey and wife, Lisa, Art Bailey, Jr. all of Warren, PA., Corey Bailey and wife, Jennifer of Pittsfield, PA., 14 Grandchildren, 3 Step Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 3 Brothers – Jim, Gus and Eugene Bailey.
Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA., on Thursday, September 19, 2019 from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon when a funeral and committal service will be conducted with Rev. William Hargenrader, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Barnes Cemetery. Those wishing to place memorials may do so through a charity of one’s choice.

We are so sorry for your loss. We had lots of good times with Art and Diane for all the years they were here in Colonial Manor and missed them dearly when they moved back to be with family.
