Anne Louise Hyatt, 92, of Warren, PA. passed peacefully after
declining health on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at the John and
Orpha Blair Hospice Home. She was born in Warren, PA. on
January 10, 1922. She was the daughter of the late Karl and Ethel
Marie Jones Krantz.
Anne was a 1939 graduate of Warren High School and attended
Grove City College and Edinboro University, obtaining her
Bachelor’s Degree in Education, while raising six children. She
was employed with the Warren County School District and had
taught at Lincoln Elementary, St. Joseph’s School, and taught
English at Youngsville High School and Warren Area High
School, retiring in 1987. While at Warren Area High School, she
helped to coordinate all – school musicals.
She was involved with the Warren Players Club, former member
of Delta Kappa Gamma and in the 1980’s was honored as a
YWCA “Women of the Year” in education. She was highly
respected and loved by all for her positivity and joy of living each
day. She always put her family first and was proud of each and
every one of them.
She is survived by her six children – Patricia (Wayne) Messick of
New York City, NY., James (Linda) Hyatt of Suffolk, VA., Mary
(Glenn) Belleau of Warren, PA., Thomas Hyatt of Potomac, MD.,
Margaret (Edward) Cunnie of Narragansett, RI., William Hyatt
and fiancée, Bridgett Barkley of Warren, PA., 13 Grandchildren –
Kit Messick, Taylor, Christian and Scott Hyatt, Timothy, Emily
and Erin Belleau, Sean and Conor Hyatt, Mairin, Grace, Patrick
and Owen Cunnie, 3 Great Grandchildren, 1 niece and several
nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death
by her husband, Emerson S. Hyatt who died in 1960, 3 Brothers –
Karl, Alfred and John Krantz.
Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304
East St., Warren, PA. Tuesday, August 12, 2014 from 6 to 8 P.M.
where a vigil service will be conducted at 5:45 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Wednesday, August
13, 2014 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph R.C. Church, 600 Pennsylvania
Avenue West, Warren, PA. Fr. Richard J. Toohey, Pastor,
officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery. Those

My heart goes out to all of you in the loss of your Mother. I will always remember her walking down the aisle at the old Holy Redeemer church with all of you in tow. She was a strong woman and raised wonderful children which I know she was so proud of. Prayers and thoughts to all.
