Andrew Scott Whiteside, 51, of Corry, PA, formerly of Cambridge Springs, PA, died on Sunday, January 30, 2022, in the Hershey Medical Center, due to complications of respiratory failure.
He was born in Garden City, Michigan, on June 12, 1970, the son of the late Charles Walker Whiteside and Maureen Anne (Netherton) Little. After high school, he enlisted with the United States Army and spent the next 20 years serving his country. Andrew was a Staff Sergeant, and currently was a supply NCO E-6, with the National Guard. He was a member of the American Legion Post 381, Cambridge Springs, PA and the VFW Post 7824, Venango, PA.
Andrew is survived by his fiancée, Lisa L. Geer, of Corry; five children, Alicia Whiteside, and Andrew Whiteside, both of Colorado, Makanha Whiteside, Evan Whiteside, and Makarra Whiteside, all of Pittsburgh, PA; one sister, Elizabeth Mattocks, of Mercer, PA.
A celebration of Andrew’s life will be held on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at 12:00 pm in the American Legion Post 381, 24642 State Highway 408, Cambridge Springs, PA 16403. Andy was the best dancer and always so much fun. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone that he could. I am going to miss making more memories with him. God Bless his family and friends. God has an amazing Angel!
