David “Bones” C. Young, 64, of Warren, PA, and formerly of Youngsville, PA., died peacefully Saturday, October 5, 2019 at his residence. He was born August 6, 1955 in Warren, PA. He was the son of George and Jean Foster Young. He had lived most of his life in Youngsville and Warren, PA, and was a 1973 graduate of Youngsville High School. Bones was employed as a machinist at the former National Forge Company for over 30 years and worked as a self- employed freelance musician. He was a member of several bands including Skyphull, Dallas, The WHUG Allstar Band, Solid Gold and Little Rock. His whole life he was musically inclined, music was his true passion. He was a member of the Youngsville Chapter of the Sons of the American Legion.
He is survived by his 3 sons – Darrell McCumber and wife, Jennifer of the New Jersey area, Jeffrey A. Young and wife, Nikole of Wesley Chapel, Florida, Evan A. Young and wife, Melissa of Sparta, N.J., 1 Sister – Cathy Vavala and husband, Bruno of Warren, PA., former wife, Melanie Chiodo Young McGinty of Edinboro, PA., 7 Grandchildren, several cousins.
A private graveside memorial service will be conducted at the convenience of the family at Youngsville Cemetery, Youngsville, PA. Memorial contributions may be sent to a charity of one’s choice.
