Jean Marie Riche, 79, of Warren, PA, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2019, at UPMC Hamot in Erie, PA.
Born on April 13, 1940, in Kane, PA, she was the daughter of Raymond C. and Clara Mae Griebel Cartwright. Jean was a graduate of Kane High School and later graduated from Jamestown Community College with a degree in Nursing. She was employed for many years as a registered nurse at Warren General Hospital, retiring in 2005. A devout Catholic, Jean was a member of Holy Redeemer R.C. Church. She enjoyed time with her family and grandchildren and spent time at the Warren Senior Center. She also had a great love of pets. Her family is very grateful for the care she received at the Warren Cancer Center.
Jean is survived by her 3 children – Michael Riche of Warren, PA, Beth A. St. Thomas and her husband, James, of Odum, GA, and Cheryl M. Riche and her husband, Robert G. Wilson, of N. Warren, PA; 6 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; 1 brother – John Cartwright of Kane, PA, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by 2 brothers – Raymond J. Cartwright and Thomas E. Cartwright.
Friends may call at Holy Redeemer R.C. Church, 11 Russell St., Warren, PA, on Tuesday, August 20, 2019, from 10am until 11am at which time a Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted by Fr. Steven Schreiber, Pastor, officiating.
