Gordon L. Ristau, 89, of Warren, PA., died Monday evening, May 13, 2019 at the Warren General Hospital. He was born April 9, 1930 in Warren, PA. He was the son of William and Ruth Sundell Ristau. Gordon was a lifelong Warren area resident. He was a 1948 graduate of Sugar Grove High School. He had served in the U.S. Army as a Private, serving with the 9400 TSU Signal C Company. Gordon was employed as a utility operator at the former G.T.E Sylvania retiring from there after 37 years employment. He was a member of the Hessel Valley Lutheran Church. Gordon enjoyed planting flowers and gardening.
Gordon is survived by his wife of 68 years, Geraldine A Kiester Ristau whom he married November 2, 1951 in Warren, PA., 3 Children – Ronald Ristau and wife, Carol of Phoenix, AZ., Tom Ristau and wife, Sharon of Ecuador, South America, David Ristau and wife, Yvonne of Williamson, New York, 5 Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 2 Brothers – Howard and Glenn Ristau, 1 Sister – Doris Dillon.
Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA., on Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 1 to 3 P.M. followed by a funeral service with Rev. Nancy Schwanke, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Hessel Valley Cemetery.
