Patricia A. Gardiner, 73, of Warren, PA, passed away Thursday evening, January 10, 2019, at UPMC Hamot in Erie, PA
Patricia was born on June 2, 1945 in Warren, PA, the daughter of Clinton and Almeda Farnsworth Beach. Her mother passed away when she was two, and her father was unable to care for two small children alone. Pat was adopted and raised by her uncle and aunt, Guy and Alice Marie Beach of East Randolph, NY. Her biological brother William Roy Beach, was adopted and raised by James and Dorotha Hage of Westfield, NY. Pat and her brother Bill have maintained a lifelong relationship.
Pat was a 1963 graduate of Randolph Central School. She was employed as a psychiatric aide at Warren State Hospital for 21, years, retiring in 2001. She was also employed with Area Agency on Aging doing various social service jobs. Pat was an active and supportive member of North Warren Presbyterian Church and the North Warren Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary since 1991. She enjoyed her church, computers and spending time with her many friends, her grandchildren, and her Yorkie, Henry.
Patricia is survived by her daughter , Michelle Gray of Youngsville, PA; a son, Joseph W. Gardiner of Florida; six grandchildren; 3 great- grandchildren; 2 brothers – William R. Hage and his wife, Norma, of Lakeland, FL, and Robert G. Beach and his wife, Jean, of Randolph, NY; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by a son, Charles Gardiner and a daughter, Tami Gardiner.
Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA, on Monday, January 14, 2019, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. A funeral and committal service will be held Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at 11:00 A.M. at North Warren Presbyterian Church, 200 South State St., Warren, PA, with the Rev. Burfoot S. “Buddy” Ward, III, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Russell, PA. From the first day of kindergarten through all 13 years of public school and even the years since graduation, Patty was a dear and cherished friend, one I will miss greatly. She kept me updated on our classmates and took an active role in our class reunions. My wife, Pat, and I want to express our deepest sympathy to her family and want them to know that we are praying for them.

I am traveling and just found out about Pat’s passing. Pat was a life long friend and will certainly be missed. My thoughts are with Bob and Jean and the rest of her family at this time of loss.
I’ve been away from the area for 30+ years and I believe it has been that long since I had the pleasure of Pat’s company. She was a fine woman and will be missed.
