May Mrs. VanGilder rest in peace. She was one of my favorite teachers at Home Street. She was full of life and made every student feel special. When my younger sister was born, she came over to the house to see her – I’ll never forget that. My sincere sympathies to the family – she was a wonderful woman. God bless her.
Sharie is my friend forever, even in death. We and Corinne Ervin have been so close since 1st grade–or maybe even kindergarten if it existed “way back when.” Glenn Husted, her dad, was even more of a father to me than my own in those years. My heart is aching.
Mrs V, as we knew her,was my son’s favorite reached at Home Street school. Her fun loving attitude and her stories of her vacations made her an unforgettable and very much loved teacher. She will be greatly missed. May she rest in peace.
One of my favorite teachers. I remember helping move the house up Jackson Avenue – what a blast and what a hoot your parents were. May she rest in peace and many thanks for being a fun and great influence on a lot of people’s lives.
Sharie & Hal we’re friends of Chuck & Myra. It didn’t take Sharie long to include all of the kids in their lives also! We will miss Sharie at all the picnics! She & Chuck had a great time celebrating Chuck’s last Birthday & remembering the different people from the State! Sharie had an infectious laugh that no one could resist.
One of my all time favorite teachers at Home Street School! She was always so upbeat and really made each student feel like they mattered. Condolences to her family.
My favorite teacher from Home Street School. A sweet, kind, fun lady who touched a lot of lives in a positive way. God bless her.
