Richard F. “Dick” Berry, 80, a resident of the Warren Manor
Nursing Home, Warren, PA., and formerly of Meadville, PA.,
died at his residence, Tuesday afternoon, November 14, 2017 after
an illness of the past year. Dick was born July 11, 1937 in Warren,
PA., to the late William H. Berry and Hazel Olsen Berry
Holmberg. He had resided most of his life in the Meadville, PA.,
area. He had served with the U.S. Naval Reserves and was
employed with numerous jobs in maintenance. He was a
member of the Meadville Salvation Army where he was a singer
and bell ringer.
Dick is survived by his 3 children – Brenda Serraro and husband,
Charles of Youngsville, PA., David Berry and wife, Laurie of
Warren, PA., William Berry of Titusville, PA., 2 Sisters – Peggy A.
Stockton of Youngsville, PA., Violet Callahan and husband,
Richard of Warren, PA., 2 Half Sisters – Colleen Zahar and Lynn
Wills both of Erie, PA., 6 Grandchildren – Tom, Ben and Jamie
Berry, Danielle Serraro, Dusty and Nicholas VanOrd, several
nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents, he
was preceded in death by a Sister – Rena M. Berry and a brother –
William Berry.
Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304
East Street, Warren, PA., on Friday, November 17, 2017 from 4 to
5 P.M. when a funeral and committal service will be conducted at
5:00 P.M. with Captain Keith Jache, of the Warren Salvation
