Betty Smith Berry, 91, of Warren, Pa. died Tuesday, October 31,
2017, at Warren Manor Nursing Home after an extended illness.
She was born June 20, 1926 in Warren, Pa. to the late James W.
and Margaret M. Sharp Smith. She was a 1946 graduate of
Warren High School. Betty was employed with the former G.C.
Murphy Co. as a clerk and was a machine typist with the former
New Process Company and retired from Lorangers in 1967. She
worked part time with the former Youngsville Floral Shoppe. She
was a member of First Lutheran Church, Watson & Pomona
Grange where she served as Chaplain of both Granges.
She enjoyed the holidays and Sunday dinners with her family.
She is lovingly remembered by her children as more than a
mother, more of being their best friend.
She is survived by 2 Daughters – Lee Ann Barney and husband,
Robert of Warren, Pa., Sherri Mikkelsaar and her companion, Rick
Belchuck of Peterboro, Ontario, Canada, 1 Son – Terry Pearson
and his wife, Betty Jo of Glade Twp., 4 Grandchildren and 4 Great
Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by1st
husband, William “Bill” Pearson, 2nd husband, Frederick A. Berry
2 Sisters – Cathleen L. Rossey, Marjorie Kuzminski, 1 Brother –
James Smith, Jr., her companion, Orren “Woody” Wood
Friends may call at the First Lutheran Church, on Thursday,
November 2, 2017 from 12:30 to 1:30 P.M. Followed by a funeral
and committal service with Rev. Jeffrey Ewing, Pastor, officiating.
Interment will be in Warren County Memorial Park. Those
wishing to place memorials may do so through Alzheimer’s
