Jeanne M Giltinan peacefully passed away September 25,
2017 at Chambersburg Hospital surrounded by her family.
She lived most of her life in Warren, PA, she and her
husband William moved to Chambersburg, Pa to Menno
Haven Retirement Community several years ago to be near
her daughter and family.
She was born in Triumph Township, Tidioute January 11,
1925 to the late Frederick L and Hanna Bowman Thomas.
She was a 1944 graduate of Tidioute High School. After
graduating from high school and before having children
Jeanne worked several years, first at Penn Furnace and then
at Sylvania. She met her husband at a Sylvania company
picnic.
She was married to William M Giltinan on July 16, 1949.
They celebrated their 68th anniversary this year with their
daughters and families.
She was a faithful member of Holy Redeemer Church in
Warren for many years
She enjoyed being with her family, camping, bowling,
and spending winters in Palm Bay, Florida with friends and
family.
She is survived by her loving and caring husband ,
William M Giltinan and two daughters Deborah and
husband Don Hallock of Chambersburg, PA, Valerie and
husband John Cunningham of Trinity, Fl.; Grandchildren
Jessica and Sean; sister Mrs John Giltinan (Lorraine) of Palm
Bay, Fl. and Tidioute; many nieces and nephews
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death
by her by daughter Stephanie L. Giltinan, two sisters, Alma
Thomas and Easie Thomas and four brothers, Claire L
Thomas, Paul L. Thomas, Frederick L. Thomas, and her twin
brother Joseph M. Thomas.

space, 11 Russell Street, Warren, PA., Monday, Oct 2, 2017
one hour prior to a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. With
Fr. James Gutting, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in St.
Joseph R.C. Cemetery. Those wishing to place memorials
may do so through a charity of their choice.
