Helen B. Hedrick, 89, of Coudersport, PA, died Thursday, September 14, 2017, with her loving family by her side. Born on June 28, 1928 in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ludwig and Helen Seyboldt Brand. On July 22, 1950 she married G. William “Bill” Hedrick, who died on October 12, 2006.
Helen was formerly employed with Brooks Instruments in Hatfield, PA. She was a member of Park United Methodist Church in Coudersport and was a volunteer at the Coudersport Senior Center. She loved to read, enjoyed gardening, baking, and spending time with her family. She especially loved her dog, Boots.
Helen is survived by 1 son – William S. (Diane) Hedrick of Malvern, PA; 1 daughter – Ruth Ann (Bruce) Wilson of Coudersport, PA; 4 grandchildren – Shane Wilson, Christopher Wilson, Hanna Hedrick and Dylan Hedrick; 1 sister – Doris (Ed) Swierc of Colorado Springs, CO; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Park United Methodist Church, 15 E. Third Street, Coudersport, PA, on Wednesday, September 20, 2017, from 11am until 1pm at which time funeral and committal services will be held with her pastor, Rev. Scott Ogden, officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery at Five Corners.
