Dorothy A. Hoover-Snow, 73, of Clarendon, PA., died Monday morning, June 12, 2017, at Select Specialty Hospital, Erie, PA., after an extended illness. She was born September 7, 1943 in Kane, PA. Dorothy was the daughter of John and Ann Sobolak Hoover. She has resided in the Warren area since 1964, moving from Kane, PA. She was a 1962 graduate of Kane High School. Dorothy was employed for 15 years as a teacher’s aide with the North West Intermediate Unit, retiring from there in 2000.
She was a volunteer with Struthers Library Theatre, enjoyed hiking, snowshoeing and riding bicycles. She was a member of the Y.M.C.A. Arthritic Class.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Thomas R. Snow, whom she married October 24, 1964 at St. Callistus R.C. Church, Kane, PA., 2 Sons – Michael Snow and wife, Petra of Port Orchard, WA, Mark Snow, of Warren, PA., 1 Sister – Susan Schriefer and husband, Charles, of Harrisburg, N.C. , 6 Grandchildren, 1 niece and 2 nephews.
Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA., on Wednesday, June 14, 2017, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. where a funeral and committal service will be conducted on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 11:00 A.M., with Rev. Marcus Briggs, Chaplain of the Rouse Warren County Home, officiating. Interment will be in Warren County Memorial Park. I am so sorry to hear of Dottie’s passing. I was her high school friend and always thought so highly of her sweet, quiet spirit. She truly was a wonderful girl.
Dottie was always very kind and inviting, the few precious moments we got to spend together. Tom, Mike and Mark I’m truly sorry for your loss. I’m sure she is still watching over you all.
