Carl (Frederick) Bell, 86, of Warren, PA, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2016 at his home with his family by his side. He had 9 lives, but finally had his tail caught.
Born on March 12, 1930 in Delaware, OH, he was the son of the late Chalmers and Mary Jones Bell. Carl had served with the U.S. Navy and he and his wife had lived in the Warren area for the past 20 years, coming to the area from Freehold, NJ. He was a self-employed entrepreneur having many different business ventures.
Carl is survived by his wife of 39 years, the former Helen Mathyer, whom he married in 1977 in Freehold, NJ, as well as 9 children – Monica Dremann (Michael Rosenberg), Denny (Debbie) Bell, Lisa Zea, Lynnette (Al) Hallonquist, Lynda Baskin, Anne Dremann, Mike (Laurie) Bell, Dee (Mike) Beierschmitt and Beau (Lennie) Dremann. Carl is also survived by a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by 3 brothers – Charles Hobert Bell, Donald Maxwell Bell, Ralph Eugene Bell and 1 sister – Wilma Bell Millhoan.
The family will be gathering at Carl and Helen’s home on Sunday afternoon, September 4, 2016 for a celebration of Carl’s life.
