Grace Marie Andrea Hanson, 81, of Warren, PA. died Friday morning, November 4, 2011 at her residence after a brief illness. She was born December 31, 1929 in Warren, PA. to the late Domenic and Grace Fontana Andrea. She has resided in Warren her entire life and was employed with the Warren General Hospital for 20 years and with the Warren State Hospital in both their Dietary Departments. She was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church and the Warren Moose Lodge 109 Women of the Moose. She was an avid reader, bingo and card player at the Warren Senior Center with her posse.
She is survived by her 2 children – Rosemarie Gregory and husband, John, Richard Hanson and his companion, Sue Champlin, 1 Sister – Lucy Fowler, 3 Grandchildren – Sara, Jordy and Jenny Brecht all of Warren, PA., several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Clair Hanson, 4 sisters – Anna Fontana, Mary Vitello, Theresa Abate, Carrie Stanko, 1 brother – Vedo L. “Andy” Andrea. Friends may call on Monday from 6 to 8 PM at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA. where a vigil service will be conducted Monday evening at 7:45 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph R.C. Church with Rev. Fr. Michael Polinek, Parochial Vicar, officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph R.C. I worked with Grace for many years at Warren General Hospital, she was a good, and true friend, and will be greatly missed.
