Joseph G. Misik, 90, died Sunday morning, March 13, 2016 at Warren General Hospital after a brief illness. He was born August 2, 1925 in New Brighton, PA. Joe was the son of Cornelius & Mary Pesco Misik. He has resided in the Warren area for the last 57 years. He was a graduate of Block House Run High School. Joe had served with the U.S. Army during World War II and was employed as a Union Carpenter.
He was a former member of St. John’s R.C. Church, Tidioute, PA.
Joe was a longtime member of Watson Grange. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and especially enjoyed his hunting trips to Colorado.
He is survived by his Brother – John Misik and Sister – Eileen Kaminski both of New Brighton, PA.
Good friends and caregivers, Todd and Kris Bines of Warren, PA.
Several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Frances M. Kalcevic Misik whom he married May 12, 1958 in New Brighton, PA., who died October 31, 2003, 1 Brother – Cornelius Misik.
Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA., one hour prior to a funeral service will be conducted Friday, March 18, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. with Fr. Richard J. Toohey, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery.
