Thomas Allen Rosenquist passed away on Monday October 21, 2024, at St Vincent’s Hospital in Erie, PA. He was 81 years old.
Tom was born in Buffalo, New York to Paul and Pauline (Curro) Rosenquist. He entered the Army in 1960 and was stationed in Germany. He was honorably discharged in 1964, when he met his future bride, Barbara Zaffino. It was love at first sight when he saw her cruising in a 1962 Chevy Impala convertible. They married November 28, 1964.
Tom was a Warren Police Officer for 25 years. As an officer he would pull people over just to see their car. When he retired, he and Barb moved to Wickenburg, Arizona. After five years, they moved back to Warren and worked for the Warren Transit Authority. Tom loved to refurbish old cars, redoing a 1947 Oldsmobile, 1932 Ford Coupe, and a 1965 Chevy Nova, along with multiple other old car projects. He loved family picnics, good hamburgers, and spaghetti and meatballs. He enjoyed old Westerns and having his granddaughter Andrea, take him to get ice cream. He loved sitting in the sun getting his Italian tan on. His son-in-law Todd and Tom often would cruise around stopping to look at old cars and other junk.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. He is survived by two daughters, Stephanie David and husband Rick and Nicole Hartman and husband Todd, his favorite sister, Karen Gray, two brothers, Richard and Larry Rosenquist, 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Friday, October 25, 2024, at Holy Redeemer R.C. Church gathering space, 11 Russell St., Warren, PA., from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:00 P.M. with Fr. Mark O’Hern, Pastor, officiating. Interment with full military honors will be in St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery, Warren, PA.
