Marlene Ann Brasington, 79, of Warren, PA., passed peacefully Friday morning, July 12, 2024, at Rouse Home, Youngsville, PA.
Marlene was born October 30, 1944, in Warren, PA. She was the daughter of Fred A. and Rose Bellot Gagliardi. She was a lifelong Warren area resident. Marlene was a 1962 graduate of Warren High School. She was employed with Blair Corporation, working in the mail department retiring from there after many years employment. She was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church, enjoyed attending craft shows, watching golf, and Penn State Football games. When her son and daughter were in school, she enjoyed watching her son compete in marching band competitions, and attending her daughter’s swim meets. She is remembered for being a great mother and a very good homemaker.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Fredric D. Brasington whom she married March 8, 1969, at St. Joseph Church, Warren, PA., 2 Children – Martin “Marty” Brasington and his wife, Laura of Columbus, OH., Jennifer Anderson and her husband, Richard of Union City, PA., 1 Sister – Carole Stewart of Warren, PA., several nieces, and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Zaffino, brother – John Gagliardi.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at St. Joseph R.C. Church, 600 Pennsylvania Avenue West, Warren, PA., from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. with Fr. Mark O’Hern, Pastor of Holy Redeemer R.C. Church, officiating. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Russell, PA.
