Mary Margaret “Peg” Olson, died peacefully at her loving daughter’s residence on Thursday, January 18, 2024. Peg was born in Erie, PA., to the late John and Gertrude Ward Hall. She was a graduate of Edinboro High School and Hamot Hospital School of Nursing. In March of 1956, she married Ronald Olson who preceded her in death.
Surviving are her children, Sue Simmons, David Olson (Kelly), John Olson (Tyra), Grandchildren – Nathan Simmons (Corrin), Dr. Julie Simmons and husband, Dr. Thomas Mesar, Eric Olson,
Great grandchildren, Gabby Geib, Bryce Everett and Joslyn Simmons, Zara Mesar. She is also survived by her adoptive children, James Mundt, and Becky Schwind. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Jane Joint, brother, Jack Hall and granddaughter, Olivia Olson Geib. Her loving, caring friends, Sandy and Dave Bancroft, Karen and Joby Wolf, Gary, and Becky Culbertson, will be forever remembered by her and daughter Sue.
Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at St. Joseph R.C. Church, 600 Pennsylvania Avenue West, Warren, PA., with Rev. Fr. Richard Tomasone, Pastor, officiating. Entombment will be in the Mausoleum of the Resurrection in St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery. Rest in peace, Peg. You were dear to me and I will miss our phone calls of sharing our life stories, books, answering my questions about the Hall and Ward families and just talking, sometimes for hours. A beautiful and caring person has entered God’s kingdom.
