Gabriel F. Alvino, 81, of Warren, PA., and formerly of Shelby, N.C., died Wednesday morning, January 17, 2024, after a brief illness. He was born September 12, 1942, in Bradford, PA.
He had resided most of his life in the Youngsville, PA., area.
He was employed for 27 years with the former Inter Royal Deluxe Metal, retiring from there in 1998.
Gabriel was survived by his son, Scott J. Alvino and his wife, Lisa of Shelby, N.C., 3 Sisters – Mary Louise Mean, Joan Marie Miceli, Sara Whipple all of Warren, PA., 4 Grandchildren, several nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rocco and Winifred Seth Alvino, a daughter, Tania Lynn Loney who died July 2, 2013, his wife of 52 years, Shirley M. Woodring Alvino.
Friends will be received on Monday, January 22, 2024, from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 P.M. at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA. A funeral and committal service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Dr. Dale Haight, officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Benezette, PA. Gabe was a really nice man. My father Mike worked with him at delux for many years. I also knew your sister tanya we had many great times together. I enjoyed being at your house when I was young your mother was a special lady. now may they rest in peace thought and prayers for your family
