John L. “Jack” Green, 86, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, after a brief illness.
Jack was born on May 12, 1937, in Philipsburg, PA to the late Charles Leroy “Roy” Green and Bertha Seabolt Green. He graduated from BCI High School in 1955 and received his degree in education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He returned to BCI as a teacher, where he met his future wife, Rosemarie.

Jack and Rosemarie married and moved to Warren, PA., in 1967, where Jack taught science at Warren Area High School until his retirement.

Jack was an avid outdoor sportsman who enjoyed sharing his expertise and enthusiasm with friends and family. He especially loved hunting and fishing, and was also a highly knowledgeable gun collector and ammunition reloader. Jack was a big baseball fan who loyally watched his teams play on television and held season tickets for the Jamestown Jammers for many years.

Jack was preceded in death by his loving wife, Rosemarie. Left to cherish his memory include two children – Christian Green of Waterford, PA, Jody Green of Seattle, WA, Grandchildren – Aden and Meghan, sisters – Janet and Gwen, and many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.

Family will receive friends on Monday December 11, 2023, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home Inc., 304 East St. Warren PA. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm in the funeral home, with the Rev. Nancy Schwanke, pastor officiating. Burial will be in Warren County Memorial Park.
