RIP Tom….your advice helped me buy the Pit!!!
Uncle Tom – I am so very thankful we were able to talk recently. I know you are at peace now and with Dottie and your other loved ones. I loved to make you and Aunt Dottie laugh (and cringe) and I am going to miss you lecturing me about how much trouble Mark and I caused. I promise we are going to celebrate you in good old Mark and Kimmy fashion.
Sorry for your loss Mike and Mark. He was a fighter!
Mike & Mark
My deepest condolences to you ❤️
Great guy. We all could have used another twenty years of him on this planet.
Mike and Mark … we have many good memories of your Dad. Here are a few: Kayak trips from the Allegheny Outfitters on the river below the Kinzua Dam when we visited in the summer. Also, reunions at camp over the years. Meeting at Bob’s Trading Post for a meal and certainly ice cream. And lastly having a Beef-on-wick at the Draft House in Warren.
We hope to be at the service on Saturday …
Dave and Peg Swaney
Mike and Mark,
So sorry about your Dad! My thoughts and prayers are with you.
To the Family of Tom: He was a great man. T worked with my dad at the Forge and my daughter at TAWC. Will miss you Tom. RIP SIR.
I first met Snow-Man at Prosens, and worked with him at National Forge. We had many visits and breakfasts together. I always enjoyed our time and conversations, with much laughter. He helped me start “Friends of Kinzua” on FB. He offered so many pictures and info of the Valley. When Dottie made her great muffins, he and she always saw that I got them. Rest in peace Tom,you will never be forgotten.
I have many memories of bike riding with Tom. Always a lot of fun. Rest in peace my friend.
Michael and Mark,
We have many fond memories of Tom. We biked with him many times and he shared much information for things to visit while on vacation. Always looked forward to visiting with him and time he spent with us during family events at the cabin.
To Mark and family- Vicki and I send our heartfelt thoughts to your entire family. Tom was my roommate in a nursing home and we had many talks together. Also, we knew Tom and Dottie as we shared great times at the Cornplanter Inn . RIP Tom -You will be sadly missed by many.
The Snow is all gone. Tom changed his answering machine to that message one spring. All too soon both Tom and Dottie are gone. I can speak for myself, and probably all of the Allegheny Outdoor Club, to say that we spent many hours with Tom and Dottie enjoying the outdoors hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, canoeing, and doing just about anything to enjoy the outdoors including having impromptu hot dog roasts. Tom and Dottie were always nice to me and drove me and hauled my bike to many events. I remember one time a group was going to go cross country skiing on a cold Saturday afternoon and I received a call to come along. I declined, saying I had a cold. It didn’t take long for Tom to call saying that getting out in the woods would be the best thing I could do, so I did, and I had a great afternoon. I am so thankful that I happened to call Tom last Saturday afternoon, and he was able to tell me what was happening to him, and we could say goodbye. RIP Tom and Dottie.
Tom will be missed at the YMCA. May he rest in peace.
