Dorothy L. Gorgacz, 84, of Warren, PA., died Thursday morning, June 30, 2022, at Warren General Hospital, Warren, PA., after an extended illness. Dorothy was born November 1, 1937, in New Castle, PA. She was the daughter of John and Genevieve Jendrysik. Dorothy was formerly of New Castle, and Uniontown, PA., moving to Warren, PA. in 1974. She had worked with Penn Power of New Castle, PA., and the former New Process Company of Warren, PA., as a supervisor, retiring after 17 years employment. She was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church, Warren, PA. Dorothy was a Pittsburgh Pirates, Steelers, Penguins and Notre Dame enthusiast. She is remembered as a woman with a great sense of humor, her husband and family were her entire being.
She is survived by her 4 children – Joseph Gorgacz of Manhattan, N.Y., Paul Gorgacz and wife, Tracy, Patty Fredericks and husband, Mark all of Warren, PA., Lori McTavish and husband, Darren of State College, PA., 8 Grandchildren – Leah, Ryan, Carley, Kelsey, Olivia, Gabrielle, Kyle & Jason, 2 Brothers – Tom Jendrysik and wife, Linda of Ft. Myers, FL., John “Racer” Jendrysik and wife, Helen of New Castle, PA., several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Edwin J. “Sarge” Gorgacz whom she married February 20, 1960, in New Castle, PA., who died October 22, 2018.
Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA. on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, from 5 to 7 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph R.C. Church, 600 Pennsylvania Avenue West, Warren, PA., with Fr. Richard Tomasone, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery. Those wishing to place memorials may do so through St. Joseph Church School. Wishing you comfort and peace as you remember a Wonderful Mother and Grandmother who touched so many lives. I recall seeing her visiting her husband Sarge , so caring and loving,. She will be missed. She is now resting in the arms of our Lord and reunited with Sarge.
