Sandy Cable Ponick, 57, of Warren, PA. died Friday morning,
September 5, 2014 at her residence. She was born in Warren, PA.
to the late Paul W. and Delores Buerkle Cable. Sandy was a
lifelong Warren area resident and a 1975 graduate of Warren Area
High School. She was employed with Blair Corporation for 30
years in the Customer Service Dept. She was a member of First
Lutheran Church. She is remembered as a woman who always
gave her whole life for everyone else, especially her children and
granddaughter.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Anthony C. “Tony”
Ponick whom she married September 16, 1978 in Warren, PA.,
2 Children – Kodi Papalia and husband, Joe, and Anthony
“Taylor” Ponick all of Warren, PA., 3 Siblings – Steven Cable and
wife, Anne of McKinney, TX., Deborah Suppa of Warren, PA.,
Barbara Bradshaw of Jamestown, N.Y., 1 Granddaughter – Alena
Papalia of Warren, PA., several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304
East Street, Warren, PA. on Monday, September 8, 2014 from 2 to
4 and 6 to 8 P.M. A funeral and committal service will be
conducted there Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. with
Rev. David Blank, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Pine
Grove Cemetery. Those wishing to place memorials may do so
