Jerry D. Thomas, 81, of Stoneham, PA., died Friday evening, January 21, 2022, at Warren General Hospital, Warren, PA., after a brief illness. Jerry was born April 19, 1940, in Glen Campbell, PA. He was the son of Walter and Viola Ryan Thomas. He was a lifelong resident of Stoneham, PA. He had served during the Vietnam War, with the U. S. Army as a Specialist 5th Grade. Jerry was employed as a heavy equipment operator with Jack Wert and John Allen and IPSCO. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Jerry was a member of the Warren Eagles Aerie, Warren American Legion Post 135, Sugar Grove AMVETS Post 50. He is lovingly remembered by his family, as a man who was a jack of all trades, who tinkered in his garage and was always busy. He enjoyed helping people and spending time with them over a beer. He loved spending time with his chihuahuas, Coco and Casper.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 61 years, Donna Albaugh Thomas, whom he married July 30, 1960, in Sheffield, PA., 1 Son – Timothy A. Thomas and his companion, Erin of Stoneham, PA., several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Berdean E. Thomas. A private funeral service will be conducted at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Warren County Memorial Park. Donna and Tim, our deepest condolences on hearing of Jerry’s passing. Although we have grown and gone on separate paths, I will always remember spending time at your home. Jerry was always willing to help us kids with whatever we needed, whenever, and always made you laugh. He was truly one of a kind, and he will be missed.
