Judith “Judy” Leins, 78, of Warren, PA. and formerly of Oil City, PA., passed away Wednesday morning, October 30, 2013 in Arlington, VA. surrounded by her family. She was born January 6, 1935 in Oil City, PA. to the late Gerald E. and Margaret Hibbard Stover. Judy graduated from St. Joseph Catholic School in Oil City. She has resided in Warren, PA. since 1971 and was employed for 8 years at Northington Industries in Oil City, PA. and for 4 years at Autoclave Engineers in Erie, PA. She had also worked for years as a realtor for the former Colleen Christy Better Homes Real Estate Agency. She was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church, Warren, PA. Served as President of the Women’s Golf Association at the Conewango Valley Country Club, and a former PTU Board Member. In years past she was active with the young mothers study club and the woman’s club of Warren. She was generous with her service in multiple volunteer organizations including the American Cancer Society. She most enjoyed spending time with family, gardening, cooking, playing cards, golfing and bowling. Judy will be remembered as a devoted mother and wife who always put others first. Judy is survived by her husband of 45 years, Robert A. Leins whom she married May 18, 1968 at St. Joseph R.C. Church, Oil City, PA., 1 Son – Larry Leins and wife, Bethany of Raleigh, N.C., 3 Daughters – Deanna Beyer and husband, Russ of Russell, PA., Brenda Beckett and husband, Mike of Arlington, VA., Karen Rutland and husband, Taylor of Herdon Her, VA., 2 Brothers – Jack “John” Stover of Ft. Meyers, FL., Jim Stover and wife, Chris of Oil City, PA., 2 Sisters – Joyce Plumer and husband, Don of Oil City, PA., Jocelyn Guth and husband, Paul of Slidell, LA., 10 Grandchildren – Jared and Josh Leins, Meg, Andrew and Katie Beyer, Emma, Will and Owen Beckett, Colin and Natalie Rutland, several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 stillborn sons, 2 brothers – Frank and Jerry Stover, 1 Sister – Joanne Stover Reger. Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA. Sunday, November 3, 2013 from 2 to 5 P.M. A vigil service will be conducted there Sunday at 1:45 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Monday, November 4, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph R.C. Church, 600 Pennsylvania Avenue West, Warren, PA. Fr. Richard J. Toohey, Pastor, officiating. I have never known a kinder person. She always had nice things to say about everyone. You kids had one heck of a wonderful role model and the world has lost one of the truly good ones. So very sorry for your loss.
