Grace Scalise, 86, of Warren, Pa. died Sunday morning, October 20, 2013 at John and Orpha Blair Hospice Home. She was born October 7, 1927 in Warren, PA daughter of the late Cyrus and Mabel Anderson Heald. She attended Warren Area High School. She was employed at the United Refinery Company in the clerical department for 3 years. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, Warren Bocce Group, her monthly card club. She did beautiful seamstress work, crocheting and knitting. She was an excellent cook and baker. She enjoyed walking, shopping and was an impeccable dresser. She adored and loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her 3 children – Barbara Zingone and husband, Daniel, Douglas J. Scalise and wife, Linda, all of Warren, PA., Mark A. Scalise and wife, Susan of Waterville, OH, 3 Grandchildren – Jessica Ceriola, Lisa and Joseph Scalise, 2 Great Grandchildren – Morgan and Mason Ceriola, 1 Step Grandson – Jason Schober, 2 Sisters – Phyllis Albaugh and husband, Stanley of Clarendon Heights, PA., Elaine Heald of Warren, PA. Several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, James J. “JJ” Scalise whom she married June 19, 1948 in Warren, Pa., 1 Brother – Don Heald, 1 Sister – Lois Flood. Wednesday, October 23, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. where a funeral service will be conducted Thursday, October 24, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Dr. G.A. Hankins, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Warren County Memorial Park. Grace was married to my first cousin Jimmy Scalise, she was a very nice and wonderful person, I did get to see her two years when I was home for my class reunion . We went to visit Richard Scalise and took several photos. Had a nice time.
