Diane P. Ervin, 67, of Warren, PA., died Wednesday afternoon, April 21, 2021 at UPMC Hamot, Erie, PA., after a brief illness. She was born December 15, 1953 in Jamestown, N.Y. Diane was the daughter of George H. and Shirley M. Houck Merritt. She has resided in the Warren area since 1974. She was a 1971 graduate of Eisenhower High School. Diane was employed for 25 years with Blair Corporation as a Data Entry Person.
She loved to travel, camping and her Yorkie puppies. She was fondly remembered as the “Cookie Queen” and she never met a person she didn’t like.
Diane is survived by her husband of 47 years, Ronald E. Ervin whom she married April 6, 1974 in Russell, PA. 1 Brother – Merle Merritt and wife, Susan of Warren, PA., 1 Sister – Sharon Birtcil and husband, Gary of Russell, PA., Aunt & Uncle – Jan and Wes Wilcox of Sugar Grove, PA., numerous cousins. A private funeral service will be conducted at the convenience of the family. Ron, I am so very sorry about Diane’s death. She was a wonderful person and will always be in my memory walking with you and her two dogs around the KOA campground talking to everybody there. She will be missed.
Ron, we cherish our many fond memories of dear Diane… dinners out, chats on the patio, holiday parties, and those fabulous Christmas cookies she shared with us. We are thankful we had the pleasure of her friendship for so many years and will miss her. You have our deepest sympathy . May God give you peace and strength as you grieve.

Oh my goodness, was so saddened to read this, Diane was a special friend to me, we used to walk every morning together for the longest time. She always had a smile and kind word for you and would do whatever she could to make you smile and feel good. She will be sadly missed by everyone she touched.
