So sorry to hear this! Eugene and Charmaine were friends with my mom. He did our hair and then took care of my mom at the hospital when he was a nurse. Great guy and always had a joke. Haven’t seen him in a long time, but he will definitely be missed. Much sympathy to the family and many prayers.
To the entire Vavala family:Please accept my sincere condolences for the loss of your brother and family member.

I am so sorry to hear of Eugene’s death. He was always kind to me during my school years in Warren. He extended that same kindness and warm smile and genuine empathy when my mom was hospitalized at Warren General.

Our condolences to the Vavala family. I remember Eugene coming to our home and doing my mothers hair.
I just looked and realized Eugene was expired. I had the honor to work with Eugene at WGH. I can honestly say I have never worked with another nurse that was so caring and would bend over backwards to help me or anyone else that needed it. I left WGH and never saw him after that but he will always be in my thoughts as I was a new nurse back then and his kindness meant so much to me. Now I see his lovely wife past before him, that is all he ever said was very kind words about her. You could tell he really loved her. He is sadly missed and because of covid I didn’t even realize they both gained their angel wings. RIP Eugene !!
