William F. “Bill” Carlson, 86, of Warren, PA, died Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at his home following a lengthy illness.

Bill was born on April 3, 1929 in Warren, PA, the son of the late Martin and Violet Anthony Carlson. He was a member of Holy Redeemer R. C. Church and was employed with Rexnord for 42 years retiring in 1994. Bill enjoyed playing cribbage and 500.

Bill is survived by his wife, Janet M. Blastic Carlson, whom he married on February 1, 1953, three daughters, Deborah Seaton and her husband, Earl, of Newark, OH, Linda Mimm and her husband, Al, of Mullica Hill, NJ, and Cynthia Morrison and her husband, David, of Warren, PA, 6 grandchildren, James Glass, Rebecka Mimm, Alethia Kline, Briana McTavish, Kiara Morrison and Alexa Morrison, 5 great-grandchildren, Bailey Johnson, Nathaniel Johnson, Xavier Glass, Jakob Kline and Holly Kline, and several nieces and nephews. Bill is also survived by his 2 best four-legged friends, Toby and Pokey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Martin, Richard and Robert Carlson, and a sister, Betty Johnson.

Friends may call from 2-5pm on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday at Holy Redeemer R.C. Church, 11 Russell Street, Warren, PA, with Fr. James Gutting, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery.
