Verna “Jean” Swanson, 87, of Warren, PA. died Wednesday evening, December 11, 2013 at the Rouse Warren County Home, Youngsville, PA. of a brief illness. She was born March 10, 1926 in Gowanda, New York to the late Walter and Rose Howe Mack. Jean was a longtime Warren area resident and formerly of North Warren, PA. She was 1944 graduate of Warren High School. A member of St. Joseph R.C. Church. Jean took pride in her appearance and especially the cleanliness of her home. She enjoyed spending her summers at their cottage on Lake Erie in Portland, N.Y. Jean is survived by her daughter, Barbara Swanson and her companion, Will Russell of Russell, PA. and his children – Zachary William Russell of Jamestown, N.Y., and Ryan (Crystal) Russell and their children, Avalynne and Alexander Russell. All of Kennedy, N.Y, 2 Granddaughters –Amy Punsky of Fairview, PA., Sara(Chad) McGuire, 2 Great Grandchildren – Marley and Remy McGuire all of Easthampton, Mass., several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Swanson who died November 8, 2003 whom she married January 3, 1945 in Warren, PA., 1 Granddaughter – Mary Punsky Wilson who died November 28, 2010. Family will receive friends on Sunday, December 15, 2013 from 6 to 8 P.M. at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA. where a vigil service will be held at 7:45 P.M. Sunday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Monday, December 16, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph R.C. Church, 600 Pennsylvania Avenue West, Warren, PA. with Fr. Richard J.
