Thomas Swartz

Thomas C. Swartz, 77 of Warren, PA. died Friday morning, October 19, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 1, 1935 in Lawsonham, PA., to the late Clyde and Sydney B. Thomas Swartz. Tom has resided in Warren since 1950 moving here from Lawsonham, PA. He was a 1953 graduate of Warren High School and was employed with the former Pennsylvania Bank and Trust Co. in the maintenance dept. and also with the Warren General Hospital retiring from there in 1996. He was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church, Warren Eagles Lodge, Life member of the Struthers Hose, 32nd Degree Mason with the Joseph Warren Masonic Lodge. He had served in the National Guard from 1953 until 1962.

He is survived by his wife, Louise Stahlman Swartz whom he married July 28, 1997 in Las Vegas, NV., 3 Children – Sue Ann Glass and husband, Matt of Milton, FL., Karen Harris and husband, Glenn of Houston, TX., David Swartz and wife, Tammy of N. Warren, PA., 1 Stepdaughter – Mary Stahlman of Corry, PA., 1 Sister – Patricia Constable and husband, Paul of Warren, PA., 7 Grandchildren, 1 Great Granddaughter, several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA. on Sunday, October 21, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. where a vigil service will be conducted Sunday night at 7:45 P.M. Members of the Joseph Warren Masonic Lodge will conduct their funeral ritual at the funeral home Sunday evening at 5:45 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Monday, October 22, 2012 at 10:00 A.M.at Holy Redeemer R.C. Church, 11 Russell Street, Warren, PA. with Fr. Richard J. Toohey, Pastor of St. Joseph R.C. Church officiating. Interment will be in ST. Joseph R.C. Cemetery.
