Theodore “Ted” Shaw, 82, of Cable Hollow, Russell, PA., died Wednesday morning, May 31, 2017 at Warren General Hospital Emergency Room after suffering an apparent heart attack. He was born August 11, 1934 in Warren, Pa. Ted was the son of Ralph and Vera Morrison Shaw. He resided most of his entire life in the Russell, PA., area and graduated in 1952 from Warren High School. He had served with the U.S. Army during peacetime.

He was employed as an electrician with the former Carborundum Company, now known as Monofrax, after 30+ years employment, he retired in September 1997.

Ted was a member of Cable Hollow Community Church, was a member of the Civil Air Patrol in New York and Warren, PA.

He enjoyed traveling, listening to big band music and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Janet Anthony Shaw whom he married January 26, 1960 in South Carolina,

2 Children – David Shaw and wife, Terri, and Jennifer Hitchcock and husband, Gregory all of Russell, PA., 2 Brothers – Ronald Shaw and wife, Barb, and Gail Shaw and wife, all of Warren, PA., 1 Sister – Beverly (Sue) Shaw of Brookridge, FL; 4 Grandchildren – Ashley, Lauran, Megan and Nicole Hitchcock, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death 3 Brothers – Robert “Bud” Shaw, Jerry Shaw, and Ralph E. Shaw, Jr.

Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA., on Friday, June 2, 2017 from 6 to 8 P.M. and on Saturday, June 3, 2017 from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the Cable Hollow Community Church, a funeral and committal service will be conducted there directly following visitation hours by Rev. Allan Jones, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Warren County Memorial Park.
