always there for other children as well. Prior to her cancer diagnosis, she had begun to
research becoming a foster parent. Following her husband’s death, Ruthie worked briefly at the Don Mills Achievement Center before becoming the Bookkeeper at Watson Memorial Home, where she was devoted to the residents and her co-workers for more than a decade. As a hobby, she also spent a few years as a part-time pyrotechnician with Young Explosives Display Fireworks of Rochester, NY. In her spare time, Ruthie enjoyed community service and lovingly arranged the musical accompaniment for Warren’s 4th of July Fireworks each year from 1994-2001. She loved music, movies, fireworks, Walt Disney World, and animals, but, most of all, being a wife and mother.
