Ronald F. Rummel, of Pittsfield, PA. who would of celebrated his 66th birthday on Wednesday, August 28, died Sunday morning, August 25, 2013 at Warren General Hospital Emergency Room after suffering a heart attack. He was born August 28, 1947 in Johnstown, PA. He was a resident of Pittsfield, PA. since 1984 an was formerly of Home and Seward, PA. Ron was a 1965 graduate of United High School of Armagh, PA. and a 1968 graduate of Penn State University with a associate degree in electrical engineering. He was employed for 28 years with Penelec GPU, now known as First Energy. He was a 32nd degree masonic member of Benjamin Indiana-Franklin Lodge 0313, Orient Royal Arch Chapter #247, an endowment life member of the National Rifle Association. Member of the Garland Presbyterian Church. He thoroughly loved shooting, reloading and working on his computer. He is survived by his mother – Maxine Glessner Powell of Zephryhill, FL., his wife of 44 years, Madeline “Nan” Darby Rummel whom he married July 12, 1969 in Seward, PA., 2 Sons – Scott A. Rummel of Pittsburgh, PA., Chad W. Rummel and wife, Jessica of Oxford, Mich., 1 Grandson – Kellan Franklin Rummel of Oxford, Mich., 3 Sisters – Janet Diehl of Pittsburgh, PA., Beverly Mrosky and husband, Jim of Armagh, PA., Maxine Toth and husband, Bob of Homer City, PA., several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank A. Rummel. At Ron’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral services held. Entombment will be in the columbarium at Oakland Cemetery, Warren, PA.
