Paul E. Nordine, 92, of Warren, Pa. died Saturday morning, June 15, 2013 at the Warren Manor Nursing Home after an extended illness. He was born March 15, 1921 in Warren, PA. to the late John F. and Tekla Hammer Nordine. Paul was a lifelong Warren area resident and was a 1940 graduate of Warren High School. He had been employed as a district storekeeper with the Pennsylvania Electric Company for 31 years retiring in 1976. He was a charter member of St. John’s Lutheran Church where h was active in many church activities. He was a 70 year member of the Joseph Warren Masonic Lodge and also a member of the Chapter and Commandry. Paul enjoyed playing the Harmonica. He enjoyed entertaining, especially giving candy to the staff of Warren Manor. He is remembered for having a very strong faith He is survived by his God Daughter, Pam Nordin and her husband, Myron, whom he especially loved. Cousins – William and Joy Nordin., Wilbur “Bud” Nordin of Warren, PA, Richard and Yvonne Nordin of Lititz, PA., Marilyn and Kenneth Larson o Fairfield Glade, TN, John and Lois Nordin of Warren, PA., 2 Nieces – Sandy and husband, John Sottile of Clarence, N.Y., Patricia and husband, Paul Burkhart of Columbia, PA., 2 Nephews – Jim Morris and wife, Susan of Queensbury, N.Y., David Morris and wife, Diane of Cheektawaga, N.Y. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marian R. Simones Nordine whom he married May 28, 1949 in Warren, PA., 3 Brothers – Robert, James and John Nordine. Friends may call at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 200 Pleasant Drive, Warren, PA. on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. followed by a Memorial Service conducted by Rev Jeffrey Ewing, Pastor and Rev. David Blank, Pastor of First Lutheran Church, co-officiating. Interment will be in Westview Cemetery.
