Palmer L. Davis, Jr.

Palmer L. Davis, Jr., 91 of Warren, PA. died Sunday morning, November 18, 2012 at UPMC Hamot, Erie, PA. He was born June 18, 1921 in Warren, PA. to the late Palmer L. and Katherine Davis, Sr. He was a lifelong Warren area resident and a 1939 graduate of Warren High School. He had served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He earned a bachelors degree in accounting from the University of Pennsylvania. He was employed as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at United Refinery Company retiring in 1985 after 35 years employment. He was a member of Trinity Memorial Episcopal Church, Conewango Valley Country Club, Conewango Club, Warren Elks Lodge, Warren Eagle Aerie, American Legion Post 135. Palmer had served on the Warren AAA board of directors. He enjoyed meeting his buddies to play cribbage weekly at the former Penn Glade Restaurant and the Warren Eagles.

He is survived by his son – Richard P. Davis, 1 Sister – Mary Spencer and her husband, Donald of Warren, PA., 5 Grandchildren – Lauren, Taylor, Allyson, Maxx and Matthew. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Leuthold Davis who died October 12, 2005, 1 Daughter – Sally Berdine who died August 23, 2003. A private memorial service will be conducted at Trinity Memorial Episcopal Church at the convenience of the family. Entombment will be in the columbarium at Trinity Memorial Episcopal Church.
