Martin L. “Marty” Kittner, 78, of Warren, PA. died Monday afternoon, April 15, 2013 at the John and Orpha Blair Hospice Home. He was born October 6, 1934 in Johnsonburg, PA. to the late Virgil and Margaret Law Kittner. He has resided in Tiona, PA. since 1957 and was a 1953 graduate of Warren High School. Marty was a group leader with the former National Forge Company for 43 years retiring in 1996. He was a member of the Tiona United Methodist Church, Warren Moose Lodge 109, Lakewood Rod & Gun Club. He is survived by his 2 Daughters – Terry L. Rhodes of Wilmington, N.C. and the Villages, Marty Ann Rakiecki and her husband, Charles of Scandia, PA., 1 Sister – Jackie Rudolph and husband, Edward of Barnes, PA., 1 Brother – Larry Kittner and wife Judy of Bluffton, S.C., 3 Grandsons – Shaun Rhodes, Kyle Rakiecki, Ryan Rhodes, 1 Great Granddaughter – Tesslyn Rhodes, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley King Kittner whom he married in 1955 at Grace United Methodist Church, 1 Brother – Virgil Kittner, 1 Grandson – Kellen Rakiecki.
Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA., on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Members of the Warren Moose Lodge will conduct their funeral ritual at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. A funeral and committal service will be conducted Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Tiona United Methodist Church at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Martin P. Reynolds, Pastor, officiating.
