Lucy V. Scalise Notoro, 92, of Warren, PA. passed away peacefully, Thursday evening, December 11, 2014 at her residence. She was born at home in Warren, PA. on May 22, 1922 to the late Guiseppe F. and Maria Josephine Scalise Scalise. She was a Warren area resident her entire life. She was a 1939 graduate of Warren High School. Lucy was employed her entire life in various office positions and loved interacting with the public.

She was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church and former Catholic Daughters of America. She enjoyed attending the Warren Concert Association series for many years with her longtime friend, Florence Scalise of Warren, PA. She was an avid reader, reading thousands of books, enjoyed traveling and crossword puzzles.

Her happiest years were spending time with her grandchildren. Lucy was the beloved favorite Aunt and Matriarch of the family, who opened up her home for all family members to gather. She was the heart of the family.

Lucy is survived by her two daughters – Pamela M. Good and her husband, Clarence Good, III, of Doylestown, PA., Diane F. Hayes and her husband, Chuck Hayes of Warren, PA., 3 Grandchildren – Brian G. Good, and Daniel C. Good of Doylestown, PA., Ann Elaine Good of Seattle, WA., several nieces, nephews, cousins and 15 Godchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph R. Notoro, whom she married August 25, 1942 in Warren, PA., who died September 6, 1984, 3 Brothers – Anthony J. “Mooney” Scalise, Peter P. Scalise and infant – Frank Scalise. 3 Sisters – Ellen E. Manno, Rose M. Falvo, Sylvia M. Yeskey, a Nephew – Dr. Joseph E. Manno.

Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA. Tuesday, December 16, 2014 from 4 to 8 P.M. where a vigil service will be conducted at 3:45 P.M. members of the church Altar Rosary Society will recite the parish rosary at 5:45 P.M.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at St. Joseph R.C. Church, 600 Pennsylvania Avenue West, Warren, PA. with Fr. Richard J. Toohey, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery.
