Lloyd Miller, 92, of Warren, PA., died Saturday evening, December 27, 2014 at the John and Orpha Blair Hospice Home.

He was born October 16, 1922 in Newmansville, PA. He was the son of the late Wade and Bessie Sliker Miller. He has lived in Warren since 1945 and was a graduate of Clarion-Limestone high School. He attended Hoff’s Business College. He and his wife, Betty R. Miller, owned and operated “Miller’s 5 to $1.00 Store” in Warren for 15 years. Lloyd was a registered Public Accountant for over 65 years before retiring. He was a member of the Holy Redeemer R.C. Church, the church Holy Name Society. Lloyd had served with the U.S. Marine air Corps in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He attained the rank of Master Sergeant.

He was a devoted Husband and Father. Lloyd “loved” working in his yard with his flowers and garden.

Surviving are a son, Terrance L. Miller and wife, Lynn of Cincinnati, OH, two daughters, Barbara Smith and her husband, Ralph of Port St. Lucie, FL., Lori Ann Falkinburg and husband, Patrick of Clarksville, TN., two Grandsons – Christopher and Sean Falkinburg of Clarksville, TN., 2 Step Grandchildren – Paul Smith, and Kathy Prybylinski of CA, three Step Great Grandchildren – Tristan, Bryce and Paige Prybylinski of CA. Several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Betty R. Smerker Miller whom he married June 4, 1947 at St. Michael’s R.C. Church, Fryburg, PA., who died June 15, 2012, three brothers, Rolland, Ross and Charles Miller, one sister, Beulah Work.

Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA., Tuesday, December 30, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. where a joint vigil service will be conducted at 7:45 P.M. by Fr. Gutting and members of the Holy Name Society.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at Holy Redeemer R.C. Church on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. by Fr. James Gutting, Pastor, officiating, assisted by Deacon Joseph Lucia. Interment will be in St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery where full military honors will be conducted by members of the U.S. Marine Corp and the Sheffield/Clarendon V.F.W.
