Kim E. Schuler, 62, of Warren, PA, passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2018, at his home following a lengthy battle with cancer. Born on December 16, 1955 in Warren, PA, he was the son of the late Kenneth E. and Arlene Madigan Schuler. Kim was a graduate of Warren High School and the Vo Tech program. He had been employed at the Warren State Hospital and later retired from PennDOT. Kim was an avid reader and enjoyed renovating homes and cars. Always very creative and known as a workaholic, Kim’s legacy to Warren will always be his restoration of the beautiful home at 609 Market Street. His last project was saving the family farm on Yankee Bush Road. And so as not to be bored in retirement, Kim and his longtime business partner, Doug Becket, started a rental property business. He loved to travel, looking at architecture and going to car shows. He also enjoyed making Halloween costumes and playing hockey, with his friend Corky Fry, for the Warren Tire Center hockey team. Kim was an avid reader, Eagle Scout, enjoyed lifting weights and loved his pets! Kim is survived by his wife and companion of 28 years, Jayne DiFonzo Schuler; 2 sisters – Linda (Jim) Reed of Shermans Dale, PA, and Cindy (TJ) Tower, of Sheffield, PA; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Kim was preceded in death by a sister – Shannon Hershey, 2 infant brothers, and his beloved dog, Tanner.
