Josephine A. “Josie” Fasenmyer, 93, of Warren, PA passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, surrounded by her family. Josie was born October 3, 1924, in Ridgway, PA. She is the daughter of the late Joseph and Sadie Steis. Josie graduated from St. Leo’s Catholic School in 1942. She married Henry “Bud” Fasenmyer on June 23, 1948 and became life long residents of Warren.

After her children were raised, Josie went to work at Blair and then retired when Bud retired. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and doting grandmother. Her family was her world. She was a sweet, caring person who devoted much of her time to caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She could make anyone that she met feel like they were a part of her family. Her contagious smile and warm personality attracted many relatives and friends to want to be around her. Josie enjoyed family trips to Disney World, beaches, casinos, and enjoyed country concerts. Josie was a lifelong member of Holy Redeemer R.C. Church, the Church Funeral Luncheon Committee, Clarendon V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and Mother’s Club.

She is survived by three daughters, Sharon Fasenmyer, Cathy Kuzminski and husband Ed, all of Warren, PA., and Darlene Needs and husband John of Schuylkill Haven, PA.,; one son, Rod Fasenmyer and Wife Ronna of Warren, PA. She has 6 grandchildren: Jason Kuzminski and wife Kristy, Michelle Yaegle and husband Roger, Michael Kuzminski and wife Chrissy, Christopher Needs and wife Elexa, Kelli Fasenmyer and Todd Fasenmyer. She has 5 great grandchildren: Shelby, Halle, Kahle Kuzminski, Emma Zaffino, and Grant Kuzminski. Josie is also survived by many nephews and nieces and great nephews and nieces.

In addition to her parents, Josie was preceded in death by the love of her life, Henry “Bud”, sisters Grace Patterson, Mabel Bates, Pearl Peterson, Geraldine Raubenstrauch, and Ruby Gamarino, brothers Glenn, Howard, and Clifford Steis, and great granddaughter Katerin Kuzminski.

Friends will be received at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA., on Friday, August 17, 2018 from 5 to 8 P.M. where a vigil service will be conducted at 7:45 P.M. Further visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Holy Redeemer R.C. Church, 11 Russell Street, Warren, PA. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11:00 A.M. with Fr. James Gutting, pastor officiating. Entombment will be in the Mausoleum of the Ascension in at St. Joseph Cemetery, Warren, PA.
