Joseph “Joe” A. Whyte, 68, of Apache Junction, AZ and formerly of Warren, PA., died Wednesday, May 15, 2019 after a battle with liver cancer. He was born September 10, 1950 in Warren, Pa. He was a Warren area resident most of his life, except for the past 4 years in Apache Junction, AZ. Joe was a 1969 graduate of Warren High School. He served with the United States Marine Corp as a corporal. Joe was employed with the former Blackstone and former Titanex, as an air cooler charger, retiring in 2013 after 41 years employment. Joe was an avid golfer. He was a member of the Warren American Legion Post 135, former member of the Warren V.F.W. and a member of the Clarendon V.F.W.

Joe was a 32nd degree member of Joseph Warren Masonic Lodge, Coudersport Consistory, former member of the Warren Shriners Club, Zem Zem Hornets.

Joe is survived by his mother, Beatrice L. Davis Whyte of Warren, PA., his wife of almost 48 years, Becky Wilbur Whyte whom he married June 12, 1971 in Warren, PA., 2 Children – Trevor Whyte, Christopher Whyte and his wife, Brenda all of Warren, PA., 1 Brother – Jim Whyte of Youngsville, PA., 1 Sister – Sue Lowe and husband, Ray of Warren, PA., 4 Grandchildren – Kayla Mascaro, Brenyn, Chloee and Treyton Whyte, several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph L. Whyte, 1 Son – Todd Whyte.

A celebration of Joe’s life will be held Sunday, June 9, 2019 at the Warren American Legion Post 135, 412 Pennsylvania Avenue West, Warren, PA. from 12 Noon until 3:00 P.M.
