Joan M. Kane, 85, a longtime resident of The Rouse Home in Youngsville, PA, and formerly of Tidioute, PA, died Monday, March 20, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital in Erie, PA.

Born on July 3, 1931 in Warren, PA, she was the daughter of the late Fritz and Evelyn Anderson Lundberg. Joan was a former member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary in Tidioute. She enjoyed bottle hunting, coin collecting, doing crossword puzzles and going to the casino in New Jersey. Joan loved animals, but her family was her life. Joan’s family would like to thank the staff at The Rouse Home for the wonderful care they provided.

Surviving are four children – Judy (Larry) Marlett, Robert Kane, David Kane and Jennifer Kane, all of Warren, PA, 1 brother – Thomas Lundberg, of Warren, PA, one brother-in-law, Charles Kane of Titusville, PA, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her husband, David J. Kane, whom she married in 1952 in Warren, PA, and who died on January 17, 2012; 1 sister – Lois Simmons, and 1 brother – Willis Lundberg, 3 sisters-in-law, Hazel McKee, Helen Perry, and Betty Littlefield, and a brother-in-law, Lawrence Kane.

Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA, on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Funeral and committal services will be held at 2:00pm Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Ralph Culp officiating. Interment will be in Swedish Union Cemetery, Tidioute, PA.
