Jeannette “Sis” Anderson, 100, of Warren, PA., died Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Warren General Hospital after a brief illness. She was born October 13, 1916 in Warren, PA., to the late Joseph M. and Carrie Engert Acks. Sis was a lifelong Warren area resident. She was employed with the former New Process Company for 6 years and with her husband, at St. Joseph R.C. School for 15 years, retiring in December 1991. She was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church, the church altar rosary society and Legion of Mary. She loved crocheting and knitting, where she made several mittens, blankets and sweaters. She enjoyed traveling with family to England and Alaska.

She is survived by her 2 children – Dolores Hazeltine and husband, Fenton of Pittsfield, PA., David C. Anderson and wife, Suzanne of Wesleyville, PA., 10 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Clarence J. Anderson whom she married June 22, 1940 in Warren, PA., 2 Brothers – Joseph J. and Jerome R. Acks. Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA., on Sunday, March 26, 2017 from 2 to 4 P.M. where a vigil service will be conducted at 1:45 P.M.

A concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Monday, March 27, 2017 at St. Joseph R.C. Church, 600 Pennsylvania Avenue West, Warren, PA., at 10:00 A.M. with Fr. Richard Tomasone, Pastor and Fr. Raymond Gramata, Pastor of St. Bernard R.C. Church, Bradford, PA., officiating.
