Goldie Elizabeth Gelotte Hecei, 91, of Warren, PA., and a resident of the Rouse Warren County Home, died at her residence, Monday, November 30, 2015 after a brief illness. She was born July 28, 1924 in Barnesboro, PA. She was the daughter of Anthony and Lucia Onorato Gelotte. Goldie was a longtime Warren area resident and a 1943 graduate of Warren High School.

She was a member of Holy Redeemer R.C. Church and the church Altar Society. She was an avid cook and loved to crochet. She is a women remembered for her great sense of humor.

Goldie is survived by her three sons – Nicholas A. Hecei, Jr. and his wife, Josie of Rocky River, OH., Ronald M. Hecei and wife, Sharon, Michael A. Hecei and wife, Debbie all of Warren, PA., 1 Sister – Viola Ferraro of Jamestown, N.Y., 7 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Nicholas A. Hecei, Sr., whom she married June 21, 1947 in Warren, PA., who died September 16, 1995, 4 Brothers – Frank, Ralph, Samuel and Mark Gelotte, infant sister – Martha Gelotte, 3 Sisters – Mary J. Cerra, Hilda Hill and Clara B. Wooster.

Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA., on Thursday, December 3, 2015 from 5 to 8 P.M. where a vigil service will be conducted at 7:45 P.M.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Friday, December 4, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Redeemer R.C. Church, 11 Russell Street, Warren, PA., with Fr. James Gutting, Pastor, officiating, assisted by Deacon Joseph Lucia. Entombment will be in the Mausoleum of the Resurrection in St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery.
