Elaine Tutmaher, 91, of Chandlers Valley, PA., died peacefully Wednesday morning, March 6, 2019 at the Rouse Warren County Home, Youngsville, PA. She was born October 6, 1927 in Youngsville, PA. Elaine was the daughter of Alton and Mildred Hedstrand Henning. She was a resident of Chandlers Valley since 1948. While a child, she went to school at a one room school house. She was employed as Postmaster of the Chandlers Valley Postal Office for many years, retiring from there, working into her 80’s. She was a member of the Sugar Grove Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, Chandlers Valley Community Center and a former member of the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club. She was a collector of Beenie Babies and Department 56. She enjoyed feeding her birds.

Elaine is survived by her 2 children – Larry Tutmaher and wife, Cheri of Warren, PA., Lori Gustafson and husband, Scott of Youngsville, PA., 3 Grandchildren – Katie Gustafson and fiancé, Jeremy Stover of Youngsville, PA., Jennifer Gullotti and husband, Chad of Jamestown, N.Y., Jordan Tutmaher and Katie Penley of Youngsville, PA., 2 Great Grandchildren – Trent and Nolan Gullotti, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Joseph “Joe” P. Tutmaher who died February 18, 2016 whom she married September 4, 1948 in Warren, PA., 1 Brother – Alton “Rick” Henning and 1 Sister – Val Jean Dornberger.

A private funeral service will be conducted at the convenience of the family at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Marcus Briggs, Retired Minister, officiating. Interment will be in Mission Covenant Cemetery, Chandlers Valley, PA. Those wishing to place memorials may do so through a charity of one’s choice.
