Dorothy L. Boekeloo, 87, of Warren, PA., died peacefully at her

home, Sunday afternoon, February 25, 2018. She was born

December 14, 1930 in Chicago, Il., to the late Curt and Eleanor

Wennman Schlueter. Dorothy was a resident of Warren since

1978 and formerly of Fairview and Irvine, PA. She was a member

of First Lutheran Church and the church Senior Fellowship,

Warren Eagles Ladies Auxiliary, Women’s Club of Warren. She

was an avid bridge card player in numerous bridge games

throughout Warren. She loved her birds, gardening and nature.

Dorothy was a big fan of Chicago Bears and Penn State Football.

In her younger days, she enjoyed golfing and bowling.

She is survived by her children – Ronald F. Boekeloo of Warren,

PA., Nancy L. Boekeloo of Erie, PA., Tom H. Boekeloo and wife,

Laurie of Ballston Spa, N.Y., Ginny M. Bevevino and husband,

Ross of Warren, PA.,

6 Grandchildren – Zachary and Lydia Boekeloo, Jackie Bevevino,

Sara Bevevino, Joe Bevevino and wife, Lindsay, Samantha

Bevevino, 2 Great Grandchildren – Holden Yesko and Graham

Bevevino, her beloved cat and friend, Suzy, several nieces and

nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her

husband, Harry F. Boekeloo who died July 13, 2015 whom she

married June 20, 1953 in Chicago, IL., 1 Sister – Ginger Dreger, 1

Brother – Curt Schlueter, Jr.

Avenue, Warren, PA., on Thursday, March 1, 2018

from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. when a memorial service will be

conducted by Rev. Jeffrey Ewing, Pastor, officiating. The family
